Announcement
It is the pleasure of Bangladesh Breastfeeding Foundation (BBF) to invite you to the regional Conference on Breastfeeding and Complementary Feeding to be held on 28-30 April, 2012 at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC). The theme of the conference is, “Optimum Infant and Young Child Feeding: golden way to succeed MDGs”.
Breastfeeding and proper complementary feeding contributes to reduce 19% of infant mortality. As we are still making an endeavor to protect, promote and support breastfeeding equally we need to protect, promote and support complementary feeding practices and maternal nutrition.
During the 3 day conference, cutting edge state of the art deliberations will be made through keynote addresses, plenary, symposium, free paper, poster sessions and workshop. The conference will address IYCF issues to create awareness and exchange knowledge to find ways to succeed MDGs.
Leading scientists from regional countries will contribute through key note and plenary speech along the state of the art lectures during the 3 days on policies, programs and scientific development in the field of IYCF. Your participation in the conference will allow exchange of views and experiences which would contribute a high momentum of efforts on optimum IYCF.

Who may participate?
Open for all Doctors, Nutritionists, nurses, other health professionals and persons interested in breastfeeding and nutrition issues.
Pre conference workshop
Workshop I: Basics of IYCF. For all doctors & nurses
Workshop II: Oketani Breast Message Techniques. For doctors & nurses trained in breastfeeding.
Registration fee: TK 500 (local participants) ,US $ 50 (foreign participants) for each workshop.
